I think the SHSL Murderer ought to be good at getting away with murder

It's interesting going back and seeing how THH compares to SDR2, lately I've found there's quite a difference in the actual arguments. In trial 3, Kirigiri keeps literally making the argument already, where you have to absorb her counter and shoot it directly at the thing it's contradicting. Frankly, Naegi is not required here, everyone listen to Kirigiri!

There's also a certain amount of dismissing counterarguments without much consideration. E.g. We're supposed to be treating the cases separately, but Genocider is taken as having an alibi because she could've only moved one of the two bodies. 

The best example of this? Shortest girl tries on the Justice Robo suit and it's too big, so it's probably especially designed to only fit Hagakure. That's not sufficient proof because only Asahina tried it on? Okay, let's have a boy wear it for comparison. Togami orders Naegi to do it... who is the exact same height as Asahina. Therefore, it must only fit Hagakure! Case closed.
Tbc this is really really funny to me, and in general I cannot get enough of every discussion of Justice Hammers. Ridiculous murder case :)

In conclusion, Genocider Sho did it, her extra 4cm of height allowed her to fit in the costume, but she's also small enough to squeeze out of it without undoing the clasp...somehow. She's also super fast, so she really was running around on the various floors scaring poor Celeste.
Celestia Ludenberg is completely innocent and has never done anything wrong in her life!

Now to work out how the SHSL Murderer was responsible for every single killing... 1) Her scissors can pick locks, also she can secretly throw really well—

Honestly, I have quite a bit of fondness for the DR1 style of argument; the cast may be worse at solving mysteries, but I think it does a huge amount to establish their characterization. Naegi having to repeat Kirigiri's arguments goes a long way towards, say, establishing the Trial 5 dynamic -- Kirigiri isn't trusted by the group, and they need the word of (and false confession from) Naegi to not vote for her. And the quick dismissals in this case go a long way towards establishing Togami's overconfidence in his mystery-solving skills, and how he completely bungles investigating in Trial 4.

That said, a version of Trial 3 where Celes is completely innocent and has actually been chased around by the murderer all investigation would be hilarious to me. Celestia Ludenberg has done nothing wrong in her life! The local serial killer is throwing scissors at her for no reason!

Poor, sweet, innocent Celestia, facing such a witch hunt. She protected her dear friends to the very end by not telling the mastermind about alter ego, and is then burnt at the stake like so many women before her. Society just can't stand to see a bad bitch winning :(
