Sonia/Peko best ship 100% proven ⭐
So, recently I got a reply to a comment on ao3 that addressed me as Strawberry. Well, STRAWBERRY, actually, it was written in all caps. I found it funny, and didn't feel the need to correct this person. But really, correct isn't the right term, because correct to what?
My usernames are all long and not really names. Even more recently, I got a reply on ao3 that addressed me as StrawberryPoison, which, rather than presumptuous, felt kind of absurd. Again, I didn't say anything, that is indeed my username.
On some websites I've gone by my real first name. I find pet names in relationships icky, I was strongly attached to being called by my actual name, intensely enough to carry that want on into fannish spaces. I'm kind of over that now, I could come up with a cool fannish name.
But really, I never actually address people by their names. Names are for talking about someone, but it feels irrelevant for talking to them. So, not having a name for people to call me in fannish spaces doesn't feel a problem to me. If they're talking about me, my usernames are most useful anyway. The very fact of people trying to call me something in a comment or reply is a little strange, it's just not necessary in the English language. Guessing that I might go by Strawberry is funniest because of how unnecessary it feels.
I believe it's to bring this sense of closeness. Call someone by their name, you're basically friends! Trying to foster a sense of community is a very good thing that I fully support, you may be familiar with how I can be in ao3 comments, after all. Choosing a fannish name can also be about building this online identity, crafting a self that is anonymous but expressive. It can be indicative in itself of how one wants to be seen.

But really, I love Turamtammi because she's just the cutest!
Are all the commanders the Futurum equivalent of idols? Is she the Futurum equivalent of an idol? Does she sing, or do people just watch her dance about and kill people? So many possibilites to explore! And I'd like to see what she looks like behind the mask, but honestly her transformed form is the best, not least simply for the height. Return of the killing Natsumi problem
Tuesday, 14 July 2026 10:06 pmI (spoilers) have killed Natsumi off in my fic The Seven Mysteries of Hope's Peak Academy. My one alteration to the timeline is totally dealt with, right? But in DR3, Komaeda sabotages the final exams of their first year because 77b are not at their best for them. This is presumably because Tsumiki, Saionji, Koizumi and Mioda are worried about their friend Sato/ mourning her because they discovered the body, and Kuzuryu and Pekoyama are mourning Natsumi/ feeling frustrated they didn't protect her. This isn't really established in DR3, we're just meant to accept that of course the class is in no mood or state to do their exams.
So, I mean, regarding the literal timeline issue, my fic is set in, like, May/June of their second year, so the whole exam situation simply doesn't fit. I don't think this matters that much, especially since the exam situation is a bit inconsistent. DR3 makes out that no one ever has to attend lessons, talent is the only thing that matters, and there's exactly one exam and it's for demonstrating talent. In DR0, a certain someone at least believes she was suspended for bad grades because she couldn't bring her notes to tests, as if there are normal exams and they happen early in the year. Of course, she could be wrong! And photos of her class doing PE together may have been a totally optional ungraded situation that everyone was just so enthusiastic to be part of! Celestia is standing around not doing anything because she has nothing better to do. Or she's actually doing sports gambling, and Fukawa is there to look at Byakuya-sama, it can all technically fit if you want it to.
My fic isn't about the talent exams, anyway, so theoretically I could ignore it! Stop thinking about it, me.
However.
The state of class 77b following this incident is actually pretty questionable.
DR3 puts Sato in the reserve course, and doesn't show Tsumiki, Mioda, or Saionji as friends with her. This certainly makes Girl E's comment about finally getting into this school in Twilight Syndrome Murder Case seem strange, ditto her wearing the same uniform as the other girls – I think at the time of writing she was supposed to be in the main course, something I could still make canon to my fic tbh. It also seems to show that Sato's death is covered up, she's absent one day, and the next day, and the day. Natsumi also isn't explicitly announced as dead, although in Twilight Syndrome Murder Case, her murder is reported in the newspaper. Also in Twilight Syndrome Murder Case is the discovery of Girl E's corpse – by Girl A, B, C, and D. Taken together, that would mean that Saionji, Mioda, Koizumi, and Tsumiki are complicit with the cover-up of Sato's death. That is a big deal that changes a lot of things! Again, my fic isn't about these characters, but this seems a relevant detail to know my stance on!
As ever, Twilight Syndrome Murder Case is a video game that can be treated as somewhat inaccurate because it's a dramatisation of an event with a supposed Twilight Syndrome spin. Barely. Idc if some of you DR people worked on the Twilight Syndrome series, did any of you actually play any of them?? Smh.
And it's always okay to reject DR3's canonicity.
I've also maybe got to decide what Pekoyama's doing in the gap between Natsumi's death and Sato's. I'd think she'd be more protective of Fuyuhiko, but TSMC seems to show him doing everything himself. This could be down to Pekoyama being occupied trying to investigate the incident herself, which is probably the angle I'll go for, at least in my head. But the reenactment with Koizumi in the NWP certainly has Pekoyama getting a lot more involved, and tbh I think she's a better investigator than he is and would also discover whodunnit. And we never see the actual murder in TSMC!
But no, I do think it was Fuyuhiko who killed Sato, the metal bat was obviously him. Still... Her involvement... Does she even know?
Additionally, I'm closing the old building. The school building raises lots of questions, which I've brought up before, but my current one is regarding the Monokuma flower, as Monokuma calls it. Kirigiri Jin would want it there, of course, but otherwise it's pretty strange it's there. Hey, Shikiba, let's put your incredible creation in a closed, fenced-off building. One can get in the old building, of course. There's a gap in said fence and no other obstacles. The student council did, and Enoshima Junko who just happened to be in the shut down old building to discover the student council also did. But sneaking in to attend to one's masterpiece plant that eats everything? Hmm.
Anyway, these decisions are my current obstacles for chapter 4 of my fic (yes, lol, to my DW followers, I have only finished 3 chapters thus far. And one bonus porn chapter!).

Last Song: Well, technically it was the song M put in their post, and before that it was some utter shite my mum was listening to. Right, get this, it was some shitty country rock singer doing kind of a gospel song? It is insane that anyone outside of the US would listen to country rock in the first place, who is cheering for cowboy-signalling about owning land and carrying a bible and a gun everywhere yeehaw? Anyway, as much as I am incredibly atheist, black gospel music is fantastic, and a white country singer doing a terrible rendition of it just feels like some form of racism I've not met before.
I really want to talk about Big Freedia's gospel album, it kills me how much I liked it.
My official answer is that the last album I listened to was Tinariwen's Tassili, so the last song I listened to independently was Takkest Tamidaret, the closing song.
Which was the worst song on the album, imo, but oh well.
Currently Watching: Idol Time Pripara, Gurren Lagann, season 2 of MSG Iron Blooded Orphans, and Ramparts of Ice. The site I was watching a fan translation of Detective Conan on shut down, so not that. I have actually come out of my cartoons-only era, I'm between live action series rn but in general I'm back on them.
This feels like an excuse to post another Pripara song... Have the boy band WITH, because it's funny. Love how their 3D versions have limbs like CLAMP characters. ☆ Prism Galaxy ☆

Currently Working On: A sleepover chapter for, um, The ghost in the boys' toilets SEXY VERSION, which is an If of my chapter fic The 7 Mysteries of HPA in which the characters have sex. It's fairly likely they'll also have sex in the main fic, tbh. Anyway, expect to see a return of Sonia's rejected sleepover activities as seen in Sonia's Sleepover Checklist, and lots of petting of Umesawa Aiko by Pekoyama. She's like a fluffy animal!

Soon afterwards meeting the husband Boscawen inquired about her last days, and received the following account. 'Hun did send for the parson.' 'Well?' 'And hun did come and say that hun must repent of her sins.['] 'Yes.' 'And hun did say as hun hadn't got any sins to repent of'. 'Well?' 'Then hun did say that as if hun hadn't got any sins hun shouldn't come to see hun any more.' 'Well?' 'Hun didn't come.' 'And then?' 'Hun died.'
Hun means self in Cymraeg, but would be attached to ei: 'ei hun' is a gender-neutral term that covers 'himself', 'herself' 'itself' etc. While the language also has he and she, which you can put in front of ei hun, and if you use ei instead of e.g. she, it is followed by an indicator of the gender by how one pronounces the following word, it's still an interesting and potentially flexible difference from English.
But here we have a Welsh guy speaking in English except using hun as a gender-neutral pronoun (except for the single 'her' that might be the diarist's error. Or this may all be the diarist's error and he only repeated the hun part, it was ei hun the whole time! Or hi ei hun and ef ei hun!). Still, evidence for gender-neutral pronouns being used in English in Victorian times. Pretty cool.
It's pronounced hiin, btw. Unless it isn't, maybe it was short for honey and they were ahead of their time, the gender-neutral term of endearment and addressing a person whose name you don't know can be a pronoun too.

3W4DW summary
Friday, 15 May 2026 11:36 pmIt's the last day, and I'm ill, so I'm not finishing up any of the proper posts I started making. Instead, have a bit of a summary on what I achieved doing this.
So, I managed to post on 18 days out of 21. I was away for a few days, and then bed bound for most of the following week, because doing things is really tiring, having any plans during the three weeks did mean I was guaranteed to fail. But excluding that, I have posted every day, even if I felt some days weren't worthy of being part of the tag. So, currently, at least, my three weeks for dreamwidth tag doesn't actually cover the full three weeks! How terrible.
I did make a few 'proper' posts (although answering questions is also fun), mostly grappling with the wider Danganronpa canon, the timeline, and how that fits into the fic I'm writing at the moment, whichharmfulmyths has been really helpful with.
But also one on Rouge the bat.
Writing more has, for the most part, helped with writing more. While some days I've spent so long writing meta that I have no time to write my fic and I'm excited to write my fic, ughhh, largely I'm in a good place where writing is flowing relatively easy. Ideas are, too, and putting some of my thoughts and challenges into words themselves as DW posts has been helpful!
I've also had a good time with other people's 3W4DW posts.
I'm been readingstardust_rifle 's posts about the JrockYaoi livejournal comm, and I have been listening to some visual kei in the process. I like exploring new music, I always have a lot of fun listening to all the music recs that crop up during the snowflake challenge, so I appreciated the starting point for that. So much so that I'm thinking I might join ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
vkotd , because even if I'm not in love with the genre, it's mostly currently occasional song recs, and that's definitely no bad thing.
And I'm now into Kaggra, for real, and also Koshinaka Makoto's beautiful face.
elyusion posted some interesting article links, especially the queer ones! I finally did a transgender test! The jury's still out. And even if I'm dithering on vkotd because I'm not a real fan, I did join joseimuke , immediately, because I've definitely been craving girl stuff lately. Someone brought up the Style Savvy series, which I took as my sign to finally buy Style Boutique for my DS.

I like exploring new music, I always have a lot of fun listening to all the music recs that crop up during the snowflake challenge, so I appreciated the starting point for that. So much so that I'm thinking I might join vkotd , because even if I'm not in love with the genre, it's mostly currently occasional song recs, and that's definitely no bad thing.And I'm now into Kaggra, for real, and also Koshinaka Makoto's beautiful face.
elyusion posted some interesting article links, especially the queer ones! I finally did a transgender test! The jury's still out. And even if I'm dithering on vkotd because I'm not a real fan, I did join joseimuke , immediately, because I've definitely been craving girl stuff lately. Someone brought up the Style Savvy series, which I took as my sign to finally buy Style Boutique for my DS. Thank you to everyone who commented on my posts, it's been really nice. A social, productive, creative time!

The "Komaeda knows what a video game is" post

I thought I'd 'ease myself in gently' by finally making one of my classic posts, as if that would take no time or effort. Tbh, sitting up at all is pretty uncomfortable still, been doing lots of lying down. Anyway, without further ado, let's talk about Komaeda Nagito and video games.
One of my pet peeves in, well, in Komaeda/Hinata fic fandom really, is a somewhat recurring plot point where Hinata introduces Komaeda to video games. Not a video game, or even a particular genre of video games, but video games as a whole, because our sheltered boy has never played one before and needs to be taught!
It must be noted, I read through all explicit or mature fic tagged with Komaeda Nagito for over a year in 2020-2021. There's a ton of teen and all ages stuff I've not read, years of fic since I've not read, and also, I don't want to dig up and link to specific works that did this. I'm not really here to prove that there was some kind of trend, and I know Magi is a popular komahina writer who has always written gamer Komaeda, but I definitely wrote my fic for the ship with the perception that people were writing him wrong in this one specific way and it was my duty to fight for the truth!!!
Anyway, here's my proof Komaeda plays video games.
