I finished ZZ Gundam yesterday and am already ascending to new fujoshi heights partway through watching CCA, but it's vital I document my very late series revelation: Beecha should be a woman. And it turns out there's totally textual evidence! 

Here we see Beecha enthusiastically picking out women's clothing, charmed by this red dress:



Put on the dress, Beecha! I know you want to.

And then ZZ concludes with Beecha wearing something rather similar. Yes, it's a bit different, and we get a glimpse of trousers underneath, but the consistency of taste! And look how pretty Beecha looks.
 


I propose a Beecha redemption arc, but it's just a Beecha feminisation arc.

When I saw the preview picture for the last episode, I honestly thought a new female character was being introduced last minute before realizing that oh, wait that's just Beecha! So I totally support your take!!

Doing some actual analysis on this important topic

That first picture was the preview image for episode 45! I saw it, like, Oh??, and then watching Beecha that whole episode being a decent leader, and suddenly (it felt) a pretty character, a tall girl has joined the cast. I think it'd be interesting to rewatch one day and see if there's a notable change in the art style at any point – does she always have such long lashes? – but I assume it's a few things.

Crucially, there's a reasonable self-confidence that no longer feels desperate.
Coming to accept oneself and be open about it can just be very gender, but also since this is a plot point, there's a lot of closer shots of Beecha, largely without distorted facial expressions. While beauty does not equal female, I v. much want to say, you too can be a pretty girl, Beecha! It's not just Iino! In fact, you're already there, to me.

And then, yeah, final Beecha is so femme! Getting mysteriously shrunk is perhaps relevant, but face shape, poses, eyelashes, style: good for her!
